Chrysalis is a solo tragicomedy at the crossroads of grief and growing up. Using puppetry, music, comedy and a general sense of whimsy, this piece was intended to bring to light some of the aspects of grief that are rarely spoken about; the humor, the unexpected discoveries and the pathways to healing. Written and performed over several years and selected as part of the New York International Fringe Festival, the performance ultimately evolved into a short film called The Grief Party.
